The Tidal Delaware is a prime spot for fishing, boating, birding, and learning about the environment. It’s also a beautiful place to just hang out and have a good time! Bartram’s Garden is planning on doing both on June 22 at their Community River Fest on the Tidal Schuylkill, just a short boat trip from the Delaware.

They are taking the action (and the goodies) to the land and the river:

On land, check out pony rides and a petting zoo down at the farm, the mega farmers’ market with fresh produce grown by the Southwest Philly farmers collective and cool treats served up by Little Baby’s Ice Cream. Free hot dogs and refreshments provided by Philadelphia Energy Solutions (while supplies last).

On the river, enjoy free kayak and rowboat rentals, free ferry boat rides and kid-friendly water activities. Row out in the boat of your choice and enjoy free ice cream served on a floating ice cream barge in the middle of river (while supplies last)! The Tidal Schuylkill Boat Parade will showcase canoes, kayaks, rafts and rowboats decked out by residents of West and Southwest Philadelphia and the Richard Allen Preparatory Charter School boat builders.

It will be tons of fun, and a great way to enjoy everything the Tidal Trail has to offer on one of the longest days of the year! Find out more by clicking here!
