Petty Island
Petty Island is a 300 acre island surrounded by 140 acres of tidal flats. The island has an array of diverse wild life including bald eagles, hawks, and falcons, in addition to rare plants such as the awl-leaf arrowhead and water marigold.

The Wildlife Preserve was created in 1975 on 86 acres of their land. The Preserve features a walking trail and fishing sites along the river.

Tinicum Island
Little Tinicum Island is a long and narrow island in the Delaware River off the coast of Tinicum Township which has been managed by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry as part of the William Penn State Forest since 1982. The island features both forest and marsh habitats.
