It’s a beautiful fall weekend for a boat race!
Tomorrow, September 27th is the return of the Philadelphia Cup Regatta sponsored by the Independence Seaport Museum, Independence Yacht Club of Philadelphia, the Liberty Sailing Club, and the Riverton Yacht Club.

This year’s race expects more than 100 sailboats and over 325 sailors. Races begin at 10:30 AM and last throughout the afternoon with an award ceremony and reception for participants at 5:00 pm. The boats will race between the Betsy Ross and Walt Witman Bridges.
For a great view, with admission to the Seaport Museum, spectators can watch the race from the museum’s second floor balcony. The race can also be seen from other points along the river for free.
